WE'RE STUDYING: "The Actions Of The Holy Ghost In The Believer's Life"

Study Text: John 14:15-16; Acts 2:8; 19:1-6

DISCUSSION: How badly do we need the Holy Ghost?

Point 1. A believer must, simply must, have the Holy Spirit ("Spirit" synonymous with "Ghost"). Comment: We then expect that the actions unctioned by the Holy Spirit will empower us to do exploits. I believe that words in Scripture are deliberate, and must be fully defined when we discuss that Scripture.

With the above in mind, consider a particular word in John 14:16....

"And I will pray the Father and he shall give you another Comforter..."

DISCUSSION: The word "another". What do you think of that word? What is the impact of that word Jesus uses to describe the correlation between the Comforter and Himself?

MAJOR POINT: Once you determine your response, it is vital that a believer grasps how badly we need the Holy Spirit present in our lives every moment, of every day.

So how badly do you need him - on your job? In your personal relationship? Managing your family? Ministering in God's house?
